While reconstructive surgery for children has been accepted and, in fact, there are doctors that perform these procedure for free in poor countries, the same surgeries performed to enhance a perfectly acceptable appearance are being requested for children with large ears that stick out, noses that seem a little large for their faces, and augmentation for girls between 16 and 19.

Re: Children and Plastic Surgery? I think parents need to be very careful about putting their children through cosmetic procedures. There's a sense of entitlement that can grow from being indulged this way.

Re: Children and Plastic Surgery?I think plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery should be used in adulthood because up to teen age body is reforming continuously. If plastic surgery is had at an early stage than results in adulthood are uncertain may be. |
