What can be done without a knife...

Before getting an eye lift, you might want to try the following:
- muscle-relaxing injections (Botox)
- chemical peels
- filler injections

Re: What can be done without a knife...

Somehow, getting Botox injections seems counter intuitive, since the eyelid muscles would be relaxed by the Botox.

Would that lead to your lids drooping, just as they would if you'd had a stroke?

I didn't think you could have a chemical peel on your eyelids.  Isn't the skin around the eyes too thin and too sensitive to use glycolic acid?

Are there chemical peels specifically for the upper and lower lid and not just for the skin near the eyebrows or cheekbones?

That is a useful bit of information. I've considered having botox, and am saving up at the moment, as I can't afford alot of plastic surgery.

Re: What can be done without a knife...

I read that chemical peels for the lower eyelids (haven't researched upper eyelids yet) are safe and effective if it is done by a doctor and not at home.  Not a good idea to do yourself because you would risk seriously damaging your skin and your eyes.
