scar on the belly button?

What type of scarring occurs with a tummy tuck?   I understand there are two different ways to make the stitches, internal or external, but I'm not sure which is better.

Re: scar on the belly button?

As far as I know, the scar looks like a big smile across the lower abdomen. Of course, this is for a full tuck.

I heard that the navel it stitched beneath the outer layer of skin to hide the scar.

I must admit it is slightly off putting to know you will have a scar on your belly button if you have the procedure. Fodd for thought!

If you have looked at the belly button, you can tell where the scars might be hidden.  The navel is actually a big scar all by itself, when you think about it.
